meet the designer
Marilyn Crockett is an interior designer based in Abilene, Texas, with an eye for timeless design and an enduring love for blue and white. From thoughtful style selections to full-scale remodels, she approaches each project with the belief that inspiration is everywhere—you simply have to seek out the beauty that already exists.
A Texas native, Marilyn graduated from Abilene Christian University in 2020 with a degree in Interior Design and a minor in Business Administration. Growing up speaking two languages has also influenced the way she sees the world and continues to shape her creative perspective.
Marilyn is an interior designer at OakStreet Shoppe, a brick-and-mortar shop in Abilene, where she works alongside a team of creative women and finds constant inspiration in the ideas that come through the door. Beyond interiors, her creativity extends to textile design, including fabrics, wallpapers, and products for the home.
When she’s not designing, Marilyn spends her time riding horses in the countryside, reading about the history of art, and, more than likely, restyling some corner of her own home.
“Old things inspire me.
They tell the stories of the creators before us, and I love taking those elements and finding ways to make them beautiful again.”
